Shipping & Delivery Policy
Point Australia Pty Ltd
ABN: 92 108 558 489
Last updated: 5 August 2026
This Shipping & Delivery Policy applies to orders supplied by Point Australia Pty Ltd through our website, by telephone, by email or through one of our sales representatives.
Point Australia supplies approved wholesale customers throughout Australia from our warehouse at Molendinar, Queensland.
Order processing
Orders are processed during our normal business hours, Monday to Friday, excluding Queensland public holidays.
Most orders containing in-stock products are normally dispatched within one to three business days after:
- The order has been accepted by Point Australia
- Payment has been approved or the order has been accepted under an approved credit account
- Any freight, account or order queries have been resolved
Orders placed after business hours, on weekends or on public holidays will be treated as received on the next business day.
Dispatch times may be longer during major promotions, seasonal peaks, stocktakes, public holiday periods or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Estimated delivery timeframes
Once an order has been dispatched, estimated delivery timeframes are:
- Metropolitan areas: approximately 2–5 business days
- Regional areas: approximately 3–7 business days
- Remote areas: approximately 5–10 business days
These are estimates only and are calculated from the date of dispatch, not the date the order is placed.
Actual delivery times may vary depending on the destination, carrier network, order size, product availability, weather, road conditions and other circumstances outside Point Australia’s reasonable control.
Please contact us before ordering if delivery is required by a particular date. We will advise whether the requested timeframe is likely to be achievable, but we cannot guarantee a delivery date unless expressly agreed in writing.
Freight carriers
Point Australia uses a range of freight and courier providers. The carrier is selected according to factors including:
- Delivery destination
- Number and size of cartons
- Pallet requirements
- Product weight and dimensions
- The type of goods being transported
- Carrier availability and cost
We may change the nominated carrier where reasonably necessary to complete the delivery.
Freight charges
Freight charges are based on the delivery address, size, weight, quantity and nature of the goods ordered.
Where the website displays a freight amount, that amount may be an estimate or form part of a payment pre-authorisation. The final freight charge may be confirmed after the order has been picked, packed, weighed and measured.
Where the final amount payable would be higher than the amount authorised by the customer, Point Australia will contact the customer for approval before processing the additional amount.
Additional charges may apply to:
- Large, heavy or bulky products
- Palletised deliveries
- Dangerous or restricted goods
- Remote-area deliveries
- Residential addresses
- Tailgate or hand-unload services
- Redelivery
- Incorrect or incomplete delivery addresses
- Special or urgent freight arrangements
Any material additional charge will be communicated to the customer before it is processed.
GST and currency
All prices and transactions on the Point Australia website are in Australian dollars (AUD).
Unless expressly stated otherwise, wholesale prices are displayed exclusive of GST. Applicable GST and freight charges will be shown or confirmed as part of the ordering and invoicing process.
Delivery address
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, including:
- Business name
- Street address
- Suburb, state and postcode
- Contact person
- Contact telephone number
- Relevant delivery instructions
- Any access restrictions or receiving hours
Point Australia is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect, incomplete or outdated delivery information supplied by the customer.
Additional freight, redelivery, storage or return charges resulting from incorrect information, refusal of delivery or the unavailability of an authorised recipient may be charged to the customer.
PO boxes and unattended addresses
Some orders cannot be delivered to PO boxes, parcel lockers or unattended addresses due to their size, value, weight or carrier requirements.
A business street address is recommended.
Where a customer authorises goods to be left unattended, the customer accepts the risks associated with that authority after the carrier records the goods as delivered at the nominated address.
Tracking and proof of delivery
Where tracking information is available, it may be provided by email or made available upon request.
Customers should monitor tracking information and ensure that someone is available to accept delivery where a signature is required.
Carrier tracking, delivery scans, photographs, signatures and electronic proof-of-delivery records may be used as evidence that an order was delivered.
Inspection upon delivery
Customers should inspect all cartons promptly upon delivery.
Visible damage, missing cartons or signs of tampering should be noted on the carrier’s delivery record before signing where reasonably possible.
Please notify Point Australia promptly of any:
- Damaged cartons
- Missing cartons
- Incorrect products
- Quantity discrepancies
- Products damaged in transit
Claims should be submitted in accordance with our Refunds & Returns Policy.
Out-of-stock and backordered products
While we make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate stock information, product availability cannot be guaranteed.
Where a product is unavailable, we may:
- Remove the unavailable item from the order
- Place the item on backorder
- Offer a suitable alternative
- Dispatch available items separately
- Cancel and refund or credit the unavailable item
Where a separate shipment would result in an additional freight charge, we will obtain the customer’s approval before applying that additional charge.
Split deliveries
Point Australia may supply an order in more than one delivery where products are dispatched from different locations, are temporarily unavailable or require different freight arrangements.
The customer will not be charged additional freight for a split delivery initiated solely by Point Australia unless the customer agrees to the additional charge.
Cancellation of orders
Please contact us immediately if you wish to cancel or amend an order.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request. However, an order may not be capable of cancellation or amendment after it has been picked, packed, processed, specially ordered or dispatched.
The customer may be responsible for freight, supplier cancellation charges or other reasonable costs already incurred.
Title and risk
Ownership of goods remains with Point Australia until all amounts owing for those goods have been paid in full.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, risk in the goods passes to the customer when the goods are delivered to the nominated delivery address or collected by the customer or the customer’s nominated carrier.
Delivery delays
Point Australia is not responsible for a carrier’s delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. However, we will provide reasonable assistance in tracing delayed or missing consignments and pursuing legitimate carrier claims.
A carrier delay does not automatically entitle the customer to cancel an order or receive a refund where the goods have already been dispatched, except where required by law or agreed by Point Australia.
